While we were on the Cape, Chloe and I rode the Nantucket Ferry over to Nantucket one day. We had lunch, shopped in town, walked to Jetty Beach, rode the bus back, and explored. We had a wonderful day!

One of my goals is to learn more about the flora an fauna of Arabia. I have picked up a few things, but I have so very much to learn. Ranger Robby knows it all, but I am a slow learner. i am happy that I now know when to expect these tiny beauties to

Always a fun time in Provincetown. We got there early, missing the traffic and the crowds. By the time we left, the streets were teeming with people!
blossoms.
I haven’t been taking photos very much lately. I don’t think that I’m much busier than usual at the moment. But maybe it’s one thing too many for me to think about right now.

THe fast ferry is more expensive, but worth it! We had comfortable seat, wi-fi, and power. Out through Hyannis, past all the sailboats, and through the fog to Nantucket. Parking was a little confusing, but we managed it without any mishap.

My mountain is always full of surprises!!

I had a vague idea of staying somewhere “different” on our trip up north. Harrisburg, PA, seemed like a great distance to go in one day – more than halfway, but not exhausting. We hit a little weather and got in a hour or so later than planned. I hadn’t planned on going to Hershey

We looked at every college in the nation and few schools outside the country. We visited dozens. She applied to ten. She was accepted at most. Three made the final cut. But when I saw her face that day in February, I knew. She’s a Smithie!
photo friday – interrupted
I never stopped. From the day each girl was born, she traveled. Chloe’s first passport was as a newborn. We traveled. Every second that I could manage. Was I running from life? Didn’t matter, we were experiencing ALL THE THINGS. Multiple continents. Fancy hotels to crappy motels to VRBOs. We did it all. Found meeting

Unfortunately, someone eventually knocked over this lovely off-trail stack.
frost – 8 jan 2017
Keeping cool by thinking of cooler days. Trying to get everything done so that when it does cool off, I have time to hike every day!
happy place – 3 jan 2017
Maybe, just maybe the rain and heat will take a break this week and Phelix and I can get back to our happy place….
village – 29 dec 2016
This was not our best Christmas. Other things took precedence. But we managed to enjoy a few of our traditions, such as our annual gingerbread house nonetheless.

Out on the trail back in December.

Missing my Arabia hikes. It’s going to be a long summer.
circles – 1 jun 2017
A full month of circles. I think I want to start something new for June, but still debating what it should be…
dreaming of fall.
It’s been a lovely few days, but life has gotten in the way of my hikes at Arabia these past few months. Hoping things will settle down next fall, and I will be able to get back out to the mountain once again.
look up (and swing).
Only 3 or 4 months before I can get back to Arabia…. Trying to keep up and get ahead during the hot summer months so that I will be ready!

A beautiful, surreal beach. And every time we’ve gone – it is practically deserted!
