All Quiet on the Western Porch
The girls were both invited to a sleepover last night. It was a very quiet evening and morning here. I’m starting to feel caught up from our latest trip finally. I’m so relaxed that I am even thinking of looking up some recipes to cook this week. I’m thinking soup, bread, and other wonderful autumn
Playing Catch Up
The day after a trip is always a crazy one. I think it was Zooglobble who posted that his wife suggested taking an extra day off from work when coming back from a trip, and I’ve always felt that was a good idea. So why do I feel a compulsion to not take any days
New Camera
Not as good as my digital SLR, but I guess it will have to do ….
Visitor
This visitor hung out with us as we did our work out on the porch yesterday. This morning she’s gone. Her “sister” is still hanging out on the ceiling of the porch…
Been A Long Time
I’ve been busy with catching up after our last trip and with getting ready for our upcoming trip as well as working on things for the new school year. Labor Day was also a big one around here with breakfast at the beach house, birdhouse painting, a ribbon cutting and a concert by the lake.
Bummer
Today I was told that I am no longer allowed to post photos of one of my favorite subjects to photo sharing sites such as MySpace and Flickr (I can only assume that Picasa is considered a photo sharing site as well.) Can I post them on my own website and then link to them

Busy At Home
We’ve been home for a couple of days, but as I’ve been sick, it has taken us a bit longer to get back into the swing of things. When Camille got home from her sleepover today, we were finally ready to return to “normal”, whatever that really means. Tomorrow we’re headed out of town again,
Not Eating That!
The lens cap is in the photo to give perpective on the size of those fungi! Yikes!
Favorites
As must be quite obvious, I love to take photos. Mostly of the girls, but also of flowers and other things that catch my eye. I will try to add a new photo to the Favorites Album each day, whether it be a new one or an old one!

Chocolate’s Been Around Since 600BC
At least, that’s what one of our favorite bands, ScribbleMonster, tells us in the title song of their CD “Chocolate Milk”. I wonder if there were chocolate Easter eggs way back then? Here’s a video of ScribbleJim performing “Chocolate Milk” in Brooklyn last month. My poor video skills don’t do him justice. (And no, that
Tricycle
We really like both France England’s and Lunch Money’s songs entitled “Tricycle”. Chloe belts out these two tunes as she pedals along…
