Hard to believe that Chloe and I hiked to the Hike Inn five months ago. It feels like we did it five weeks ago. But, a lot has changed since then. Camille has chosen college, and Chloe has chosen a high school…

One of my goals is to learn more about the flora an fauna of Arabia. I have picked up a few things, but I have so very much to learn. Ranger Robby knows it all, but I am a slow learner. i am happy that I now know when to expect these tiny beauties to
blossoms.
I haven’t been taking photos very much lately. I don’t think that I’m much busier than usual at the moment. But maybe it’s one thing too many for me to think about right now.

We looked at every college in the nation and few schools outside the country. We visited dozens. She applied to ten. She was accepted at most. Three made the final cut. But when I saw her face that day in February, I knew. She’s a Smithie!

This was not our best Christmas. Other things took precedence. But we managed to enjoy a few of our traditions, such as our annual gingerbread house nonetheless.

Missing my Arabia hikes. It’s going to be a long summer.

It’s been a lovely few days, but life has gotten in the way of my hikes at Arabia these past few months. Hoping things will settle down next fall, and I will be able to get back out to the mountain once again.

I stumbled across this barn on a hike where I was just “following” my nose. After Phelix and I found our way back to the car, I decided to drive as close as I could to the barn. And then I saw the “For Sale” sign across the street …
