Halloween
The girls had a great time Trick-or-Treating in Pine Lake. Chloe changed her mind 4 times on what she wanted to be, then ended up taking off her costume fairly quickly because it was too itchy. She decided she was a princess dressed as a commoner.

Chloe’s been having a Pine Lake birthday. In the morning we went to the Beach House for the pancake breakfast, then back to the house for presents. Mid-afternoon we had lunch at The Kingfisher Cafe up the street. Tonight, if the rain holds off, will be fire dancing at the beach! Happy Birthday, Chloe!

We went to the beach in our new town this morning. Chloe insisted that we stop at the storage unit to find her chickie outfit before going to the pancake breakfast. It was absolutely freezing on the beach, so that duckie (or is it a duckie?) outfit kept her warm. Chloe lucked out and found

Try as we might, we can’t find a local place that we like to go to for a Christmas tree. The girls begged to get a tree from our Kroger, but we finally settled on Lowe’s. Not ideal, but they are close and their selection is good. Other years we’ve driven around for what seemed

Let the madness begin. After we got home and unpacked, the girls pulled out the Christmas decorations and went right to work.
happy thanksgiving
Much as I try, I’m just not a fan of Thanksgiving dinner. I prefer something a bit simpler. The walks in the woods after dinner are what I most enjoy. But here is one member of the family who tremendously enjoyed the gluttony of the day.
