gooney bird: heading to NYC
Our mascot, knit by Camille, is now on the big, big bird headed to the big, big city…. At the Decatur MARTA station: Made it through security: On the “Plane Train”: Checking out the recycled fashions at the airport: Ready to fly: After that flight, Gooney Bird is not sure about flying again:

Not such a long trip home, but lots of “Hurry up and Wait”, of course.

Today we ate lunch on the beach. Tomorrow’s lunch won’t be eating in as lovely a place, but it will be an exciting one anyway!!

We drove out to Lucaya National Park yesterday — what a lovely beach.

Life is good, even when it rains.
instagram: wedding party
My baby sister got married today!! Despite the threatening weather (it *never* rains in the Bahamas), the wedding was lovely. And Chloe was beyond thrilled to get to be a part of the wedding party (party being the key word here).

Chloe and I started working on a puzzle, but it got put away before the storms rolled in …..
photo friday: gulf state park, AL
For our Gulf Coast Spring Break trip, the girls and I spent two nights camping at Gulf Shores State Park. While the park seemed to cater mostly to RVs and people in cars, we were able to ride our bikes to the beach…which was the whole idea! This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo

Happiness Project: April 2012 – Giving myself a break
I’ve fallen off my Project 41 and Happiness Project wagon. For much of February and March, I was under the weather. Maybe it was “winter blues” or maybe it was something more (sore throat and icky), but now that we’ve entered April, I’m feeling mostly better other than a few pollen-induced headaches here and there.
instagram: painted toes
Today I took the girls to their first mani/pedi. Chloe loved it; Camille hated it. But we all now have good-looking toes for the beach!!
gulf coast – spring break 2012
For the first week of April, the girls and I headed down to the Gulf Coast in Evie. We spent one night in MS with friends, two nights at Gulf State Park in AL, two nights at Ochlockonee State Park in FL and one night by the beach at St. George Island State Park in
instagram: king of pops
When we returned from our bike ride over to Avondale for the STEAMFestATL, we treated ourselves to popsicles from King of Pops on the square. Yum!

Not only did Chloe get chocolate milk at RenFest, but Rob ate chocolate covered bacon. Was this a Renaissance specialty?
epic trip out west – summer 2011
Yikes! When we got home from our epic trip last year, I decided to rearrange all my blogs and then we moved. And then I never created a post linking to all my posts about our super amazing trip. Looking back on all these posts, I can’t believe all that we saw, learned and did
instagram: Yum! Turtle Food
Camille “accidentally” dumped a few weeks worth of turtle food into Dumbledore’s cage. Instead of cleaning it, she just let it all float there. I’m hoping that the turtle doesn’t explode! Gazoo just loves turtle food and sat on top of the cage all evening inhaling her favorite aromas.
photo friday: gulf shores, al
When I first started planning our spring break, I thought we could see the Gulf of Mexico. The whole thing from Texas to Florida. Hey, we have done crazier things! After some consideration, I decided that Mississippi to the panhandle of Florida would be much more manageable in the short time that we had. Good
