National Museum of American History
After I worked some and caught up some on my other pursuits, the girls and I headed out to go to the National Museum of American History. Our plan was to visit the exhibit on American Wars, to supplement what Camille has been doing in history and then visit the transportation exhibit. But, I knew we’d be flexible, and flexible we were.
After studying the applicable part of the ‘America At War’ exhibit, we moved on to the “kids’ area” part of the museum. I figured we’d see what was there, then head over to the transportation exhibit. But Chloe really got into the Invention at Play area. She loved trying to make balanced buildings, funky pinwheels and more.
When we finally left the invention area, the girls were attracted by the Spark!Lab, and we ended up spending the remainder of our time there. The girls tested out electric circuits, gears, and building toys. Chloe spent a long time making a “project.” I could not get the girls out, and they can’t wait to go back!

This is great to know that Chloe liked the Invention at Play and Spark Lab, seeing as she and my daughter are the same age. We’ll most certainly put this on our agenda when we are there in April!
Let us know when in April you will be in DC. If we overlap, maybe we get together for an afternoon.
