Today is National Chocolate-Covered Insects Day.
I got up early, had breakfast, packed, checked out of the hotel, and took the RER to Charles de Gaulle. Except the train didn’t go to Terminal 2. It stopped at Terminal 1. Eventually someone told us the train wasn’t going any further, so we all got off and lugged our bags up the stairs and over to the terminal train. There were so many people that the escalator was starting to back up — always a dangerous situation! The train was overcrowded as well. I checked in at a kiosk, then did baggage self-check, then off to immigration and finally security. The terminal was quite fancy and lacked food options. On the plane, I ended up again with empty seats next to me, so the flight was quite comfortable. I took MARTA home and then immediately took Chloe to Kroger to get food for lunch. I worked on unpacking and organizing for a while.
