Driving Fun
Each week, when we come home from homeschool classes, we see the same trash truck pulled up on the grass across the street from the QT. We’re guessing that our return is timed with the QT-break. Twice now, we’ve seen the guys by the truck toss their wrappers/bags on the ground. Are you kidding me? What are they working on? And their trash can’t even find the way to where it belongs? Sheesh.
The other day we were driving behind a right-hand drive Rolls Royce. That confused Chloe for a while, until I reminded her of our trips to Ireland (she didn’t remember that one) and Scotland. Then we started talking about this guy driving that car here. How does he go to the bank, put letters in the mailbox, drop off books at the library or order drive-through food (note that I don’t do that because we don’t go to places with drive-through — Hey Moe’s, get a drive through!).

I don’t get the littering. We were at an intersection once and watched this guy throw his food out the window. Which is not a big deal as there birds eating it. But when he started throwing ketchup packages at them…it got ridiculous. Why can’t people keep a bag for trash in their cars? Or just throw stuff away when they get home? Or those guys at QT – there are tons of trash cans (QTs are one of the cleanest places!)…
I just “tagged” you for a meme over on my blog.
I don’t get littering either…so sad. And, wow, a right-sided drive car in the US…that would be super confusing for me!
