The Atlantic Ocean is not exactly on the way home to Decatur from Orlando, but I figured it was worth the detour. The side-trip added six hours to our trip, but we not only got to stop at the Spanish Fort in St. Augustine, but we drove along the beach for miles and miles and had a picnic lunch on the beach in Marineland, FL. Made it worth the time and trouble, for sure.
