In some ways, it is *exactly* my job. But in oh so many ways, it is not.

The other day, I received this comment on my blog post about DOcplex:

Even when I followed your method, I got the following errors:
DOcplexExceptionTraceback (most recent call last)
in ()
1 mdl.print_information()
…
DOcplexException: CPLEX runtime not found: please install CPLEX or solve this model on DOcplexcloud

Is there a way to resolve this error?

I almost fell on the floor laughing.

While I spend a lot of my time every day diagnosing exactly this type of problem, I am supporting the customers of the DOcplex “rival”, Gurobi. I still respect my former coworkers at IBM, but given that IBM laid me off? I’m not planning to support CPLEX customers as well ….
