photo friday: tiny worlds
Blue Ridge . photo friday Article
I don’t often get the chance to take things slowly. There is a crisis in the making at all times, so I generally try to live five steps ahead. Every once in a while, I remind myself to “Go slow, live in the moment.” But then the panic sets in again, and I forget.
Today as I took the dog out for his morning walk, I reminded myself once again, “Slow.” I looked up. I looked down. I got in close to look at the frost on the leaves, appreciating the patterns. And then I spotted these little soldiers. I’ve always enjoyed the different shades and shapes of lichens, but look how pretty these delicate flowers are!
My dad did a little research and came up with British soldier lichens.
