Camille and I had a lovely Sunday morning exploring the DUMBO flea market and eating lunch a picnic table in the midst of it all. From there, she took the train into the city to see a play. I decided to wander over the bridge. SO MANY PEOPLE. It really was not enjoyable. I’ll not

It began as yet another boring parent meeting. I read all the emails. I know what’s going on. We sign the forms and turn them in. No need to remind me. I hate hearing the story for the fifth time…. I *got* this. But … I also get it. Parents, by default, are busy. The

I miss the beach. It hasn’t been that long, but it has been too long…
dreams come true.
We went for 3.5 years with sharing a car. It worked okay. Sometimes I felt trapped, but mostly we made it work. Then life fell apart. Even so, we made it work with one car. It took lots of arranging and some bizarre arrangements, but it worked. But now life has gotten a little easier.

In our adventures in the city, we made time for some fun street food along the way. In addition to the usual bagels, pizza, and pretzels, we also had bubble tea and “fish ice cream” at Taiyaki.

Even though it is September, I’ve only been able to get to the mountain a couple of times. Between getting Camille off to school and the hurricane, it’s been hard to get out there. Soon, soon.

As Camille made our way down from Rockefeller Center to Canal Street, we stopped in all her favorite stores, from Muji to Tiger. We also managed to find our way to ten or so bookstores, many of which were new to us.
