brain fog.
Lately, I’ve been finding it almost impossible to concentrate on anything. Perhaps exhaustion? De-hydration? The heat in general? Stress?
Getting out on the mountain can help with my cloudy brain, but the heat is too oppressive at the moment. The past couple of weeks I’ve tried to get adequate sleep (some days I feel rested). I’ve tried to reduce stress (not easy with a revolving door of teens needing rides, leaving messes, making last minute plans, being teens). And I’ve been trying to hydrate. As much as I don’t like it, I’ve returned to drinking a bit of Gatorade each day since it has helped me with brain fog in the past.
And this week? I have been able to concentrate better than I have in weeks. I churned through to do items and home and at work despite the constantly revolving door of people.
I wish I could figure out what the key is. If it is Gatorade that is making the difference, I wish I could figure out what it is about it that helps me, since I don’t really like drinking Gatorade, but I love being able to focus!
