Another week of pushing to get in some “fun” time, whether it be a new experience or taking time to return to an old favorite. I’m tired and would rather just nap and read, but making time for interesting experiences does help with lessening the feeling of drudgery. I know that time is running out

Self-care was the theme of the month, but when kid issues came up, I put self-care on the back burner … (and then I got burnt). So I’ve changed my focus to finding something interesting to do each day. A new experience, time with family or friends.

This was not our best Christmas. Other things took precedence. But we managed to enjoy a few of our traditions, such as our annual gingerbread house nonetheless.

I’ve lived in a constant state of panic for so long that I no longer know how to not live that way even when there’s no need to panic. This week, I’ve caught myself wishing for something to “Hurry up and be over! I have things to do!” a number of times when, in reality,

This past year, things got real. Really real. Life got hard. Not braces complicated (though we had that) or college choice hard (we had that too). I had spent the previous few years recovering from homeschooling. I was getting my life and family and work organized. I was starting to find time for connecting with
