Not the best photo in the world. Unless you are me. Then it means the world. Sure the lighting could have been better. The depth-of-field. And so on. But this photo is one that means the world to me…..
photo friday: exploratorium
The girls (or was it only Camille??) and I visited the Exploratorium decades ago. It was the most amazing place — hands on, interesting, encouraged the kids to explore the world and learn how to make connections. While we did not visit on our latest trip to SF, I have high hopes that its new
off-trail.
Phelix and I have been hiking regularly at Arabia for two years now. At first, we took the same trail every single time. After a year or so, I decided enough was enough, and we branched out and learned a new trail. Six months later, I finally decided that we would learn *all* the trails.

My goals for this year are very few. There’s too much uncertainty, and I am lacking free time to do the things I had originally planned to do this year. Chloe drew the design based on the diamorpha at Arabia. And I had it tattooed onto my wrist: Cross that off my list!

hot tea hike with ranger robby.
Chloe did not have a good night’s sleep. Her mouth and face hurts from her new braces. At first, she was unwilling to get up early for a hike. But then she rallied. And we headed out … and Phelix was so unhappy. I feel so guilty that I’m taking him out for a hike

Beach. The beach. Any beach. It has been far too long. I wish I lived as close to the beach as my sister does!!
happiness project: appearance + misc (feb)
Thrive, Project 46, and the monthly projects in my Happiness Project … so many projects! In reality, they are all facets of the same project, guiding me to finish or give up old projects and move forward on the ones that are most important to me. January’s main theme was Friends/Family & Social Networks. I
spring on the mountain – 5 feb 2017
Saturday I was in pain from having pushed myself too hard at the gym — pulled something in my right arm. But on Sunday? Time to hit the mountain. Phelix and I tried a new-to-us section of trail; he likes new trails, but when he gets close to his trail, he *runs*. We ran into

Our final tourist attraction while in NYC – One World Trade Center. Camille is not a fan of heights, but agreed to go with me anyway …
meal planning 4.0
As happens when chaos turns back towards routine at our house, I find the time to exercise more and meal plan. We’re tried prescribed meal plans, a true CSA, having camille, plan, shop and cook, a themed meal plan, a customizable farm box, a boxed meal service, and another meal planning service. Sigh. While some
Project46
A couple of weeks ago, I turned 46. Another year has gone by. Not only do I still feel as though I didn’t move ahead enough on my goals, my birthday really brought me down. Low. However, I have moved ahead… What I have managed to accomplish in the past two years makes me proud.
