I’ve been here before. I continue to search for the answer.
Meal planning.
I have a feeling that one day I will find the solution.
We’ve gone through e-Mealz. Far too much processed food for us.
I’ve tried Hello Fresh. Ingredients to my door – but I still had to make daily trips to the store, chop for an hour, and, worst of all, dispose of all the PACKAGING.
And now I’ve signed up with the latest, PlateJoy. With a low cost, flexible plan which promises vegetarian options, I was so hopeful. But the ingredients are sometimes difficult to find or quite costly. Or require a small bit of something that comes in a large quantity…. Lots of expensive and leftover ingredients is what I really want to avoid. I don’t have pantry space, and I hate tossing food that has expired.
And, worse, this week’s menu? Out of four dishes requested, THREE (3!), were rice dishes. Only one had a real protein (tofu). No beans, nothing. We all leave the table hungry.
I hate being in charge of meal planning and groceries … I still spend 20 hours a week meal planning, shopping, cooking, and dealing with all things culinary. I like trying new things, but I’m busy. I need help. But I’ve not yet found the help that really helps….
But … we’ve had dinner at the table most nights for the past few weeks…. Tonight, Phelix jumped up to *his* place while we were still working on other things (college search) and grumbled that it was DINNERTIME. That’s a good sign.
