snapshots from gooney road – 4 apr 2016
Today is National Cordon Bleu Day.
I woke very early to tackle my to do list and work. The others got up, and I cleaned the houseboat. We packed up the car and headed towards Tacoma. On the highway, a giant rock hit the windshield. In Tacoma, we had a little breakfast, then went to the University of Puget Sound. While Camille and Rob toured the campus, Chloe and I went to another coffee shop for two hours; I got through a pile of busywork. After the visit, we continued south to Portland, stopping to visit Evergreen State College and University of Portland. Our apartment is on the water in downtown Portland. Between rush hour traffic and a complicated entry, it took us a while to get in and settled. Rob worked on calling the insurance about the windshield. We finally headed out to dinner around 8pm. Not much was open, but we did get to the House of Ramen and then a small market.
