book report: 5 jan 2016
Last month I finished Who Do You Love: A Novel by Jennifer Winer. A nice light read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I’ve also been reading the Outlander series on my phone whenever I don’t feel like turning on a light or dealing with a physical book. I’ve been indulging for months and fear I’m coming to the end of what I have downloaded to my phone….
After finishing Women & Money: Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny by Suze Orman, I decided to buy a copy and actually take the time to work through it month by month.
For Christmas, I got The Red Notebook by Antoine Laurain from my mom. I look forward to reading it.
My co-worker (whose book recommendations I have always appreciated) recommended The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden: A Novel by Jonas Jonasson. It just came in at our library; I’ve read a couple chapters and can see I will enjoy it.
I will continue to read these this week:
- Flight Behavior: A Novel by Barbara Kingsolver. I keep trying to read it, but I’m not getting into it. I may have to give up soon.
Still have The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot by Robert Macfarlane on my bedside table.
I am still slowly making my way through The College Solution: A Guide for Everyone Looking for the Right School at the Right Price (2nd Edition) by Lynn O’Shaughnessy and Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges by Loren Pope. I think soon we’ll be using all the information we’ve gleamed from these.
I keep a list of completed books on Goodreads. I also keep one here on my blog.
