snapshots from gooney road – 11 jul 2015
Today is World Population Day and National Blueberry Muffin Day and All American Pet Photo Day.
We had a later start than hoped, but still got on the road in time to beat the traffic (mostly). We headed into Falmouth and stopped at “Eight Cousins” our first bookstore of the day. We then drove down to look at the beaches and the beach house, but since we couldn’t check-in until 3pm, we decided to go for a ride. A couple more bookstores, a junk shop, the 100th birthday party at the Cape Cod Red Cross, ice cream. Finally we went to Stop&Shop which was surprisingly uncrowded. We finally got to the house around 4pm and unpacked the car, groceries, and bags. Everyone settled in. Camille and Catherine went off to swim and explore. I caught up on things. Camille took a nap. I took a walk.
