better than before.
After getting so frustrated reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo, I moved on to Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin.
Ah, that feels so much better. I appreciate her breakdown of different personalities and types. Whenever I can’t make a habit stick, I get angry at myself and my self-confidence plummets. Her descriptions make me realize that I am not a failure because something that works for “everyone” doesn’t work for me. I see now that in order for a habit to stick for me, I have to do certain things based on my own traits.
I haven’t finished the book yet, but here’s to hoping that some of her advice will stick and I can create some new, good habits.
In the meantime, I’ve done great with keeping up with flossing since my dentist visit!
