bumpy re-entry.
I’m drowning, once again. The busy-ness of returning home in combination with tiredness from a super-long travel day and jet lag leaves me feeling off-kilter, struggling to stay afloat.
I have heard of people who add a day of vacation at home after a trip in order to find a better balance, but I don’t have enough vacation days to dedicate one to re-entry. Instead I push on through. Extra hours of work. Extra hours of household chores. Ignoring the exhaustion that comes with it all.
But I think that after three days of battle, I will be back to my usual daily struggle of finding balance.
I did a great job of my preparation work for this trip to make things as easy as possible. I even did a few things to make re-entry a little easier. But I see now things I can do on future trips to further improve re-entry.
