On the final morning of our three day weekend at High Falls State Park, I managed to get up early enough to see the misty fog rising off the river and the sunrising through it. Beautiful!

A standard school and work day. Barbara and Phil took Phelix on a long walk geocaching then left for the cabin. Camille and I went to the farmers’ market and to Starbucks. Chloe had gymnastics. I went to my three-hour self-defense class.

One of the reasons we chose to leave our beloved Pine Lake and move to downtown Decatur was for the walkability. While it is lovely to walk around Pine Lake on the many trails, it was almost impossible to walk anywhere other than the post office. While I don’t walk as often as I should,

A day of work and school. I walked around Decatur picking up various items for dinner. Rob took Chloe to her ortho appointment. Rob went out to dinner while the rest of us had soup from Souper Jenny’s. Phil and Barbara arrived in the late evening. Rob and the girls played a game.

Rob headed out to kayak. I spent a couple hours choosing a hotel in Santorini before taking Chloe to her meet. She got first place for the floor routine! A quick stop at Target, then home to make dinner and get ready for the week.

Work, then off to IKEA for sticky buns, a couch and curtains. Chloe insisted on heading to Petco to get toothpaste and a toy for Phelix. Rob took Chloe to gymnastics while Gwyneth worked. Pizza and couch assembly in the evening.

Another chilly night. After breakfast and a walk on the beach, we walked into town again and had lunch at McConkey’s Jungle Shack. We spent the afternoon at the beach, playing games in the car, and relaxing.
