While at the Lake Eden Arts Festival, we don’t just listen to music, look at art and eat, there’s also lots to do and time to sit quietly. Chloe loves the more active things, from the kids’ village to the zipline. Camille often opts for the quieter activities like drawing, reading and knitting.

House full of kids slowly got moving. Camille left to babysit for a while. After a morning of work and play, Rob, Chloe, Camille, Emma and I slid down to Taqueria del Sol to meet Emma’s family for lunch. Rob took Chloe to physical therapy. We had a quiet afternoon and evening at home after

Still learning about time lapse. This one is a little TOO slow. Like watching a pot boil. This one is a bit faster, the snow is gone, but the sun does set! Yesterday was such a quiet day here. While I know how much our businesses depend on the traffic, I enjoyed the slowness of

A snow day for everyone but me. I worked on and off throughout the day, taking time to go for a couple walks in the snow. Chloe went sledding all day. Camille walked around town with her friends, enjoying the day off. We had three extra girls spend the night, and Camille made Frito pie
Paper, Plastic Or Neither
A few weeks ago, I read a short column in Time that left me all mumbly and grumbly. The “research” alluded to in Paper, Plastic Or Neither had me fit to be tied: One study found that a cotton tote must be used at 131 times to be better for the planet than plastic. Well,

A typical morning of heading off to work and school. Snow started to fall around noon. And it got crazy out there. I picked Chloe up from school to go to physical therapy. Camille got let out of school early. Rob got out of work early. People who had to commute got STUCK for hours!

I have much to learn about time lapse photography, but this was an interesting exercise for me to attempt! The Atlanta metro area is a mess. People are still stuck trying to get home after spending 7+ hours to go 20 miles.

ONe of the things I love about LEAF is all of the ART. Not just the artists’ art that is for sale, but all the creative art that can be found in every nook and cranny!

Project 42++ aka Project 43
Earlier this week, I turned 43. Another year has gone by. Like last year, I feel as though I didn’t move ahead enough on my goals. However, I have moved ahead … What I have managed to accomplish in the past few months makes me proud of myself. I have a ways to go, for
