On our trip to San Francisco, we encountered flowers and animals everywhere we went. From the seagull that took a bite of Chloe’s ice cream cone down by the piers to the bison that live in Golden Gate Park to the ducklings on Alcatraz, it was one adventure after another!

Summer’s here, and it’s time to celebrate!! This past week, we celebrated Memorial Day with the “traditional” cookout lunch. For Amnesty International Day, I had the girls each research a fact or two about Amnesty International. As part of our Georgia history studies, we headed to “Gold City”, Dahlonega. While there we visited the diving bell, ate lunch at a great restaurant, explored the Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site and panned for gold and toured a gold mine at the Consolidated Gold Mines. Tonight I spent four hours volunteering at the arts festival, helping with keeping the artists get all their art unloaded. A little chaotic, but fun nonetheless.

Transportation Vacation! Apart from getting to San Francisco via MARTA, plane trane, plane (complete with exciting landing) and SuperShuttle, we managed to find a number of ways to get around San Francisco.
