Looks like spring here in Decatur!
volunteering: fire caps
I admit. I’m a dork. Through and through. While I am what I am, it is not worth trying to fight it. I am so much better now that I am willing to embrace it. And tonight, I found my way back home to congregate with my Fire CAPS friends. We didn’t do much …

128 oz or 42oz of pickles?? Well, the pickles in the big jar were the biggest. so we bought those — for Rob to blow up in Chloe’s class on Thursday. The rest? Left for us to enjoy.

It is Baby Kroger … scorned by the hipsters. But I know what to expect and what to be happy about. And when I find sweet basil and nice flowers, I’m happy.

Unfortunately, I learned today that Whole Living will no longer be published. Over the years, I’ve found myself buying the magazine off the shelf until I finally subscribed last year. The replacement, Family Circle, is no real replacement. The closest substitute for me would be Real Simple, but still not a good one. Ironically, we
Spring Break Day 9: Cable Car Ride and Flight Home
The girls and I woke early and showered and packed. Around 8, we headed out to walk up to the cable car turnaround. When we got there, the line was minimal, but by the time a cable car arrived, the line had grown quite long. When the cable car arrived, we jumped on. The girls

daily: meetup in Japantown
ONe of the things Camille was looking forward to on this trip was the chance to get to meet some of her online friends. Camille, Chloe and I took the bus over to Japantown and we wandered around for a while until it was time to meet with her friends.
Spring Break Day 7: Playground and Museums
After a slow morning of breakfast, picking up, reading and playing video games, we headed out to catch the bus for the big children’s playground at Golden Gate Park. Both girls ran around the playground for a long time, then we walked over to the museums. Chloe and I went to the California Academy of

Spring Break Day 5: Alcatraz
After an early morning of sunrise, fruit, coffee and yogurt, we headed back up the hill to the Legion of Honor. THough we didn’t go in, we did explore the sculpture garden and the courtyard. We walked back down the other side and ended up at the playground, which thrilled Chloe. Back at the apartment,

Folding laundry, emptying dishwasher, cleaning kitty litter, tossing leftovers, loading dishwasher, taking out trash, taking our recycling, picking up, cleaning, sweeping, packing, prepping Phelix for a
