decatur daily: 26 dec 2012
It was a wild night in Decatur in many ways… Thunder and lightning, driving rain, and some big police activity requiring the judge to come in on a rainy Christmas night to sign a search warrant.
Downtown was a bit busier on our “early” (Phelix let me sleep in!) morning walk. People heading to work, deliveries being made. While we were walking through the Emory Clinic courtyard this morning, I saw only women coming to work. I wonder what the male/female ratio is at 101 W. Ponce?
While we were out the clouds blew in fast. Apparently, the temperatures are expected to drop all day and night, so tomorrow morning’s walk is going to be a very chilly one!
The day gets grqyer and colder as Camille, Phelix and I relax at home, reading and working on our projects. We braved the wind for another quick walk before crating Phelix and heading to see Les Mis.
On our way back from the theater, white stuff came floating out of the sky and landed on my car.

- Our new Visitor’s Center is coming along nicely; peek in the windows next time you walk by!
- Seen the new hole in the diner wall for the entrance to Noodle? Does this mean the new Mexican place will open soon?
- The fences came down at the rec center. Peek in the windows there too, if you get the chance.
- Carpe Diem has closed.
- Christmas Tree recycling has begun.
