photo friday: islands of (wet) adventure
Attractions . Florida . photo friday Article
One of the reasons we returned to the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure was that Chloe was finally, at long last, tall enough to ride on the castle ride. And she rode it, over and over again. While we did end up spending a large portion of the day shopping, eating and riding in Hogsmeade, we also squeezed in rides at the other islands. And then had to squeeze the water out of our sopping wet clothing. As I discussed in compromise: theme park equilibrium, we got so soaked that I ended up having to buy Chloe a brand new outfit, down to shoes and socks. Next time we’ll plan better, I think.
This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday.

Theme parks in wet clothes can be miserable, that’s why I even stay off the water rides most of the time.
Yay for being tall enough to go on rides! That looks like fun. I’ve been caught out a few times lately by not taking spare clothes. I keep thinking my kids have gotten to the age where I don’t need to carry a bag full of spare clothes each time we go out … clearly while they’ve grown out of ‘accidents’ they’re not too big for ‘accidentally’ falling into a creek or running through a puddle up to the top of their shoes when it’s 2 degrees outside and about to sleet! Hope the new theme park outfit wasn’t too expensive!
