photo friday: lucayan national park
Back in April when we were in the Bahamas for my sisters’ wedding, we didn’t have much time for exploring as tourists. Therefore, I was more than ready to jump in the car when my parents suggested a trip out to Lucayan National Park. While Grand Bahama Island is fairly small, the ride out to the park seemed like a long one. Like the cornfields of the midwest, the drive felt like a movie background on repeat.
Once at the park, the ranger came out to great us (and collect the small fee). We first explored the “caves” side of the park. Even my teenager Camille was excited by the descent into the watery caves.
For the most part, we were there alone to explore the trails and caves. A wonderful place to escape to, for sure … Next week, I’ll share photos from the nature trail and beach across the street … Bliss.
This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday.
