enjoying the slower pace
Now that I’m getting close to being caught up after having been (mostly) home for the month of May, I’m slowing down a little bit. Today I was finally back to living and not madly doing. And it felt great. I did not feel guilty about it for a single moment…
I worked during the morning. Camille and I went to the noontime concert on the square. I exercised(!). When Chloe got home, we did some sorting of stuff together, then headed over to the Farmers’ Market to get some Georgia peaches and eggs. Chloe ran around with friends on the square while we waited for Rob to emerge from his “office”. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner on the patio at Sapori di Napoli. And then we walked home for a couple hours of hanging out together before bed.
Tomorrow is a busy day, but with my energy renewed after a slow, relaxed day of living in the moment, it will not drain me. No, it most certainly won’t.
