turtles are the new owls

Or at least I think they should be.

I appreciate some of the whimsical owl/bird stuff that’s come about in the past couple years, but I can’t help but think “That’d look great as turtles!”

I’m always on the search for fun turtles to add to my “collection” — a friend that stopped by the other day remarked that she kept spotting the turtles every time she turned around in our condo. I hope it isn’t overwhelming, but I do love the varied turtle pieces that I’ve managed to collect over the past few years, not to mention our sweet red-eared slider, Dumbledore.

I have my eye on a few pieces of turtle art that I’d like to add, especially some things I’ve seen by Miss Kay.

But for now, I’ll make myself content with collecting turtles over on my Turtle Love board on Pinterest ….
