writer’s block

I have never, ever claimed to be a writer. Except that my *paying* job includes writer in the title… As a technical writer, I write, but my lack of creativity is outweighed by my ability to learn new tools and describe mathematical concepts.

And, so , here I am, after weeks of simply posting daily photos to this blog, trying to convince myself that I can once again tackle blogging. I don’t lack for blogs. There’s this blog, gooney bird kids (kindie music blog), DecaturSquared (Families in Decatur Blog), PLAIN (Pine Lake Association of Involved Neighbors blog), butera.org (family updates), plus a handful of other blogs that I still maintain.

But, for the most part, this is the only blog where I actually try to *write*. And I just have not been in the mood to write lately. Thus the meta-writing of writing about not wanting to write. Perhaps just forcing myself to write this will help me move forward and write more in a true (at least for me) writing sense.

A lot of our time recently has been devoted to the chore of a downsizing move, but I can feel that the move has achieved one of the goals — a little more time for me to breathe, think, live and write.
