More of our fall decorations. I like this little pumpkins, but I don’t know if they’ll find a place in our new home or not. So many decorations, so little space.

Two weekends ago, the girls and I made our annual pilgrimage to Austin for the Austin City Limits Music Festval. We love hanging out at “Austin Kiddie Limits”, listening to great bands, sampling local food and digging in the sand on Zilker Beach. This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday

Despite being the middle of clearing out our house for the big move, We took the time to decorate for Halloween and autumn. I love this time; three months of constantly redecorating the house (or condo)!
Mission Downsize: Day 8
Rob has been hard at work on the “business side”: checking the closing documents, wiring money, filling out HOA/condo paperwork, purchasing homeowner’s insurance. Today or CSA basket was filled to the brim with greens. I better come up with a yummy green dinner for Thursday or Friday! This looks like it is probably the very last of the tomatoes, unfortunately.

As “Mission Downsize” continues, we are going through everything in the house, figuring out what we need to get rid of and what we will keep. Though I do this year round in “Room of the Month” we are being even more crazy about getting rid of stuff. It feels great to let go of

Mission Downsize: Day 5

Chloe and I startled to tackle her room today. Amazingly, she’s excited to be getting rid of most of her stuff. She’s really excited to whittle down all her piles to something much more manageable!

Today, we met with the inspector at the condo. This was our first time back in since we’ve signed the contract. The girls had a great time trying to figure out where all the furniture and other things will go once we move in.

Camille spent a long time yesterday clearing out her bookshelves, dresser and closet in our “Mission Downsize”. I’m really impressed by how much she has decided is just no longer necessary. We will fit into the new, much smaller space …. At least I hope so!

foggy drive – 19 sep 2011
Our drive home on Monday was not easy. We had fog, the monsoon like rains with zero-visibility across Mississippi. Also in Mississippi, I got two chips in the windshield, an hour apart. To top it off, I had a burrito at Taco Bell and was ill for the rest of the drive.

The day was hot, but the girls tried to stay cool on Zilker Beach, playing in the sand. Chloe even brought a shovel along with her from home in order to be sure she’d have one to use.
