a whole week at home?
There is a chance that we will have a week (well, five days at least) at home this week. No need to get ahead, no catching up needed. Wow! What will we do?
1. Room of the week – This week is the living room. Not too bad, except for straightening out the homeschooling disasters.
2. Kindie Road – I am more than ready to move forward with this. And Camille has made a great Gooney Bird for us as a starting point!
3. GobbldeyGoon – As usual, I cannot find a WordPress theme that I like. I’ve switched yet again, but would love to integrate a magazine theme and some other things into this one. I really should take a class or something.
4. Playdates – time on the road has the kids missing their friends. But most of their friends are away too, so really …
5. Pediatrician – Camille has had a “blocked ear” since our trip. We’ve tried wax softener with some success, but really, there’s still something wrong.
6. Homescholing – Both girls have subjects to finish up, and Chloe can’t wait to start Spanish.
7. Guests – My parents will be coming and going at various times. No problem with that, just somthing to keep in mind.
8. Local Wednesday – Time to start our Hometown Tourist plan. With this heat, something indoors, please.
9. Me me me – Tomorrow I will start my Low carb fast and exercise program. Two weeks of planned menus. I know I’ll feel great, but I need to make time for cooking and walking and shopping.
10. Ripping CDs – I *was* caught up, but our mailbox was filled with new CDs this week… I can’t wait to hear all this new music!
11. Cat poop – Yeah, I need to get that stool sample to the vet (yuck). Chloe was curious as to what was in the ziploc bag – no, not a new snack.
12. Library and gymnastics – Chloe has two practices this week; Camille needs a weekly trip to the library.
13. Harry Potter in 3D at the IMAX – Camille and I would love to do this. When and where?? Before it disapparates.
14. Car – Check Engine light is on once again. She needs to have the CD collection sorted and a really good bath.
15. Work – while I’m not behind at work, I still need to put in a full (half-time) week at work.
16. New things – I’d love to start playing the guitar, get a mani/pedi. have a real haircut, and learn French, but I think this week is full already.
No wonder I like to hit the road. It is so much easier than what I try to squeeze into a week at home.
