Photo Friday: RenFest
For a few years now, we have made a tradition of heading just south of Atlanta on a spring weekend to attend the Georgia Renaissance Festival. The girls love just about everything about it. The shows, ranging from acrobatics to jousting to craftspeople showing their crafts, are lots of fun to watch. The people in costume, whether because they are working at the festival, love to dress up or both, are always great to see. The rides, all human-powered, no flashing lights here, are enjoyable to ride on. The little shops offer a wide range of costumes, games, junkies, garden decorations and more. The food, well, being vegetarians, we’re not so fond of meat on a stick, but Chloe always loves the corn on a stick!
In the past we’ve gone in May, but it gets really hot walking around, so this year, we decided to go in ApRil. Much better! In fact, we went on Easter, in hopes there would be fewer people. It wasn’t much less crowded, and the “Easter Candy Hunt” was actually very crowdedโฆ.
Each weekend is a different theme; maybe next year we’ll go on “Pirate Weekend”!
This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.
