Travel Tuesday: Weekly Favorites for 22 Mar 2011

We’ve now been home for over a week, and I’m itching to go again. I think we’ll head out for a day trip on this gorgeous spring day. I love what I’ve been reading out there on the web, and I’d love to share my highlights with you.

Here are some of my favorites from the week:

  I’m not a huge “gear” fan, but I’m always on the hunt for “the perfect bag”. This looks like it could be it!
• Mother of All Trips Mondays are for Dreaming: Taking My Kids to New Zealand
  I’ve never had much of a dream to head to New Zealand, but I’m now starting to reconsider that!
• Our Travel Lifestyle: Travelling with kids: Have we been on the road too long?
  This is one of my fears. My kids *like* home. They miss it when we travel too much. How can I balance their needs with my own so that we can all be content?
• Travels with Children: The Benefit of Local History Museums
  We’ve been to a few local history museums, but after reading this, I might make a point of getting to more.
• trekaroo: Letterboxing with kids- Adding a new element of fun to family travels
  My mom is a geocacher. Rob geocaches. The kids sometimes do it. But I’ve never found much appeal in it. I wonder if I’d like letterboxing more?
• Arrows Sent Forth: Why We Love Rental Properties While Traveling as a Family
  We love self-catering travel too!
