Up in the Trees, Again
A couple of years ago, Chloe headed off with Rob to go hang out Up in the Trees. While Chloe hasn’t picked up this “sport”, Rob has. I haven’t really paid much attention, except to note that the tree in our back yard looks like Spiderman has come to visit and every so often I see a photo of the roof of our house on Rob’s facebook page.
Yesterday, Chloe was ready to try again. Rob took her over to the Beginners’ Introductory Climb once more. Apparently she had a great time:
Once you get up high enough for ten minutes and you get used to it, you can go upside down. It was fun, and I got to sit on branches. I would definitely do it again. I want to buy equipment: a rope, a harness, and a helmet.
Not your everyday wish list.
Why does this not worry me more? Shouldn’t having my child way up in a tree, tied up with ropes concern me more? But, apparently, it doesn’t bother me one bit…
[Photos not by me. I was at home working and then enjoying a few, rare quiet moments to myself.]
