LEAF – Day 2
We woke to a very, very windy morning. The night before, both ATMs were broken, so I didn’t want to spend the last of our cash on breakfast. Instead, the girls had hot chocolate and fruit and granola bars, which suited us all fine (Thank goodness for the coffee press gadget that came with the JetBoil).
After a windy breakfast, we headed to the kids’ village for the morning. We went to some concerts, the girls shopped in the kids’ artist market, Chloe got her face painted like a pink tiger, and Camille got her hair braided. Around noon, Rob finally showed up. We wandered over to the main stage area to find some lunch. While waiting for my veggie burger, I saw a sesame tofu dish being served which made my mouth water and regret the choice of the veggie burger.
Rob’s arrival initiated a different LEAF experience. He took them to the trapeze, did the big zipline and signed up for a unicycle tutorial. After another concert in the kids’ village and some exploring, we then found dinner … I chose the tofu dish, of course. The girls opted for a quiet evening and found a neighbors’ fire bowl where they could make themselves some smores.
Altogether a very perfect festival day!
