snow, lots of it!
I woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep. I decided to get up and take care of some organizing and work on my photos from the day before. Chloe got up at 6am, and we sat in bed and chatted for a long time. Around 7am, we finally ventured up to the main level to see if we could discover any breakfast. Jim was just getting up and he helped us find some good things for breakfast. Others slowly started to wake and have breakfast. Rob adjusted Chloe’s snowshoes so she could try them out in the snow. Chloe took to the snow quickly. We had feared that it was going to be just too cold for her, but she didn’t complain. In fact, she was getting too hot! She built a little cave, built a throne, made a snow angel and tried to go sledding, but the snow was just too fluffy.
Camille got out a bit after Chloe and walked around in her snow shoes and made snow angels. She had lots of fun, but didn’t stay out nearly as long as Chloe did. After the rest of the family left to go skiing, snowshoeing and other things, I took the girls out around the corner to find a good place to sled. We found a nice hill that had been packed down by previous sledders, and the girls had a blast! Again, they were mostly too hot, not too cold, which was nice.
