handwork
through a few strange coincidences, yesterday I learned that there is a handwork class for homeschoolers being offered right here in our little hamlet. Mostly, it is Waldorf homeschoolers attending the class, but both of my girls have started knitting projects, and I find that I just am not experienced enough to help them when things go wrong.
today we walked over there and felt immediately comfortable in the very cozy home, with its shelves of books, yarn and other wonderful things. The girls had a great time starting new projects, and I can’t be more pleased.
As for my own knitting, I need to let go and finish my first project. The scarf has grown and grown until I think now it is so bulky that I will never have an opportunity to wear it. I considered trying to make a bag as my next project, but decided on starting another scarf, this time with a smaller yarn and also adding in purling to the knitting. We’ll see how long this scarf takes me to finish!!

Tell the girls good job! ๐ Morgan has learned how to knit but isn’t ready for purling yet. I think I’m ready to add purling to my skills. That is a serious scarf!
