seattle? atlantis? where are we?
What’s that bright orb up there in the sky? For a while there, we felt that we had been transplanted to Seattle. Day after day of gray, rainy skies. And then the torrential storms came…the ground was already saturated, so with no place for the water to go, it headed to the creeks and rivers. Those had as much as they could hold, so they flooded.
Pine Lake and Snapfinger creek both swelled and merged into one great big river. Many of our neighbors’ houses were flooded by this major flood. The berm appears to potentially be in danger of collapse. If that happens, the lake will drain out Snapfinger Creek until we can get it repaired. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

That was the scariest storm! We are still drying out ourselves…
