DC Concerts
DC was hopping this week for kids’ music. We just couldn’t fit it all in!
We went to Jammin’ Java in Vienna TWICE, once to see Secret Agent 23 Skidoo and then again for Rocknoceros’s big PINK! CD relesae party.
We went to the most awesome of venues, the White House, where we took in both a SteveSongs and an Imagination Movers concert. We skipped the Fergie show, choosing to roll eggs instead, as that’s why we were really there.
We went to see Bill Harley out in Bethesda in a high school auditorium. Even better, Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer joined him on stage for a few songs.
We also met up with Mr. Stinky Feet, aka Jim Cosgrove and his family at the zoo. I’m sad that we didn’t get to one of his area shows, but they just didn’t fit our schedule. Also disappointing was that we couldn’t get out to Baltimore to see Eric Herman.
On Thursday night, we saw The Brian Horton Quartet perform at National Geographic Live. Not music directed at kids, but some great jazz that could be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.
It will be hard to top that!
