Thanksgiving
holiday Article
Even with Chloe’s emergency trip to get stitches, we had a mostly relaxing Thanksgiving. The four of us, plus my mom, dad and sister (and a cat and dog) spent the long weekend at the cabin. We went outside when the weather was nice and did things inside when the weather wasn’t as nice.
For dinner, Barbara cooked many of the traditional foods. But she also put together this beautiful turkey made out of bread for the vegetarians among us. Isn’t it cute? We all talked about what we were thankful for. I didn’t have to think hard at all to come up with a never-ending list of things I am thankful for.

Oh, dear. That’s a bit more eventful than I like my major holidays ๐ I’m glad Chloe’s okay. Lilah is a big climber/jumper/spin around and get dizzy child, so I expect we should map out a route to the ER and have it ready for when she’s a bit more ambitious…
The bread turkey is cute! The turkey here wasn’t quite done, so it grossed me out more than usual as it was passed back and forth. But I get to make my own vegetarian dressing, which is nice, and the potatoes are with veggie broth, so that’s yummy.
My word verification is “ptomez” which is reminiscent of what my husband might have gotten if I hadn’t made him throw out the pink part of the leftover turkey. Shudder.
