Pumpkin Time!

When we went out to the mountains a few weeks ago, we had so much fun at the apple orchard that we never managed to pick any pumpkins!! Rob and the girls picked some pumpkins up on their way home from the girls’ sleepover at a friends’ house. The girls helped Rob clean out the pumpkin guts, then drew their pictures on the pumpkins. Note for next year: have the girls work out their ideas on paper and show them how cutting out solids works. They came up with impossible designs and weird lines that just wouldn’t work. Thankfully, we had switched from using permanent to washable markers at the last minute.

Rob worked on carving, but went on a wrong line somewhere, so Camille’s pumpkin came out more interesting than expected and Chloe was jealous! I hope the pumpkins will last until Halloween.
