Eastern Shore

The weather was so gorgeous, I couldn’t stand the thought of going to the aquarium in Baltimore, which is what Chloe really wants to do. Instead, we headed out across the Bay Bridge to the Eastern Shore. We stopped in St. Michaels, a place I remember I enjoyed visiting. It was a bit windy, so Chloe was cold, but we decided to go to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum anyway. The kids had fun going from building to building looking at and climbing on the old boats and the oystering exhibit. The lighthouse was fun too, even though Chloe didn’t like going down the stairs.

After we had spent a long time at the museum, we were starting to get hungry. We went for a car ride to try to find a seafood shack that would have grilled cheese sandwiches. We drove out to the end; very pretty, then back to town where we found a nice place for some lunch on the water. After the late lunch, we walked over to the playground so Chloe could play for a while before heading back in the car.
