Where Am I?
It’s been a week. A long, yet happy, week. The girls and I are adjusting to our new schedule — Rob is living in DC, Chloe is doing more homeschooling, and we now have a great new playground to hang out at. On top of that, I’ve been reading “Pride and Prejudice” in my free (cough) time. Amazingly enough, I don’t think I’ve ever read it and am finding it quite fascinating. The character development and the exploration of virtue, and of course pride and prejudice, are fascinating.
This leaves little time for me to blog. Maybe this weekend will be different, but I doubt it. Rob came home for an hour this evening, but is now off at DragonCon with Camille. Chloe and I may go to the Decatur Book Festival tomorrow; the list of kids’ activities is quite impressive!
The playground here is wonderful! It is such a wonderful gathering spot for Pine Lakers, both those who are kid-caretakers and whose who aren’t! Everyone stops to chat and catch-up with each other. I think that we are going to wonder how we went so long without such a place to meet up.

We were just at the playground this afternoon. Love it! Ran into people we didn't know. What a great community asset–I'm still sort of stunned that it's done!
P&P is one of my all time favorites! Hope you like it.
Hey Allison – So cool that you met some new people. Did you notice the planters that we brought down to put the extra plants in? I'll take them away when needed, but for now, it was an easy way to plant the leftover plants.
Loving P&P. Really. I've always been a Thomas Hardy fan, but am glad that I decided to branch out ๐
I have tried to read Austen. But I had such a hard time getting past the language. I need to keep plugging away at "Emma" – but it is surely making me hesitant to try P&P.
I'd love to hear how Rob and Camille like Dragoncon…
Rob and camille seemed to have a great time yesterday… they didn’t take many photos, and then only with a phone. Bah.
