Where Am I?
It’s been a week. A long, yet happy, week. The girls and I are adjusting to our new schedule — Rob is living in DC, Chloe is doing more homeschooling, and we now have a great new playground to hang out at. On top of that, I’ve been reading “Pride and Prejudice” in my free

I say to the girls "10 minutes." Camille responds "ok!" Chloe responds "but I have to finish… " iPhone in hand
The Playground is Here!
You must watch this amazing time-lapse video made by a friend of mine. It is even better in “high quality”. Go to YouTube and click on “high quality”.
Not Back To School Party
All the area kids headed back to school at the beginning of last week. While not jealous that those kids get to sit in classrooms, we homeschoolers do like to have a celebration when we reunite for our new session of classes. Today, after registration (Camille is taking Latin and Chloe is taking swimming), we
DC Weekend
The girls and I are home again from DC. We are unpacked and just about caught up on most things, though I do have a large to-do list for work waiting for me to tackle it. Helping Rob move to DC was a bit surreal. It felt like helping a kid go off to college.
Rob’s New Pad
If you are intrigued, visit Rob’s Blog… The apartment is in Foggy Bottom, 9ish blocks from the White House and next door to the Ritz-Carlton. Our accommodations are not quite up to Ritz standards. More like grad student standards. But the apartment is clean, is amazingly located and has an incredible rooftop patio/pool. It is
At the apartment
The apartment doesn’t have Internet yet and is terrace level (no patio), but it does have this awesome rooftop pool! We are next door to the Ritz…
The Big Little Move
Today starts our DC adventure! Rob packed the car last night, not leaving room for me and the girls to bring clothes. Hmmph. He rearranged, taking out some Legos(!) so that we could fit in our bag of clothes. We’ll be back to Georgia in a couple of days after helping him move in and
Art Projects
While the girls still had trouble waking this morning, they still managed to get their homeschool tasks done. Just in time for their friend across the street to get home from school and do an art project with them. camille’s art: chloe’s art: Gwyneth’s art:
Let’s Meet at “Translate Server Error”!
Last night at the beach, a friend of mine told me about this, I just thought it was hysterical. See for yourself! Chinese restaurant called TRANSLATE SERVER ERROR… PS Having just returned from Japan, I do appreciate their effort to make the name of their restaurant understandable to foreigners…and this error hopefully brought them lots

Geocaching
I’ve always been intrigued, but the rest of the family is so much more active in this “sport” than I am. Friday, Rob got permission from our city manager to plant a geocache in our little city. He put it out at 10pm, it was listed on the geocaching website at 10:30pm, and was already
Back To Our DC Trip
The stars aligned, literally. When Disney announced the Disney Music Block Party Tour, I figured we just had to go. With a star ridden lineup of Ralph’s World, Dan Zanes and They Might Be Giants, how could we not go? I decided that the easiest show for us to get to (and perhaps one of
Breaking Promises
I promised I would write more about that crazy guy in the last post, but it will have to wait. Today we recovered from our whirlwind trip to DC/MD. Work had piled up, but I plowed through it at a nice clip. There is still more updates to do on the personal side, but it
