Still not feeling well. I worked hard all morning, even while the cleaning service was here. I spent time on my other projects, then went to do carpool and run errands. I worked on the transfer of the PLAIN website then picked Chloe up form the gym. Camille worked on making dinner. Rob got home…

Up early to find eggs. Busy picking up around the house. Off to a lovely day at RenFest. When we got back, I crashed once again; I hope this exhaustion is almost over – I’m getting nothing done. Rob worked on cleaning out Evie; he thinks she’ll sell in this eBay auction ๐

More cleaning up. Rob and the girls headed out to run lots of errands. I went down to Oakhurst to volunteer for 3.5 hours at the Earth Day Festival. I was asleep on my feet. When I got home, I crashed on the couch. Rob took Camille to a friend’s for the evening. Rob and…

School and work. Chloe didn’t feel well enough to go to gymnastics, so we went to Kroger instead. At home, we worked on cleaning up all around the house. We made homemade pizzas for dinner and then got to work on dyeing eggs. I still feel awful – maybe allergies?
photo friday: oakland cemetery flowers
Our trip to Oakland Cemetery last month was at an ideal time of year. Early spring. Not too hot, yet warm. And the flowers, oh the flowers in bloom!

I’m suffering jetlag. Woke at 3:30 and had a cloudy head all day (or that could be the pollen?). Chloe was feeling so awful that she stayed home from school for the day. Since she was home, I didn’t go to the Red Cross. Camille came home and did some homework. I fell asleep early.
happiness project: cooking + misc (apr)
Thrive!, Project 43 and the monthly projects in my Happiness Project … so many projects! In reality, they are all facets of the same project, guiding me to finish or give up old projects and move forward on the ones that are most important to me. March’s main theme was House. As with past months,…

Greece Trip: Day 11
Naming this post “Greece Trip: Day 11” is a bit strange as we have left Greece behind and today traveled from Amsterdam to Decatur, but oh well. Because of the hour difference from Greece to The Netherlands, I managed to sleep in, yet still get up early. We got the girls moving and went down…

Up at 4:30 (Greece time). Dressed, downstairs, ride to the airport. The lines were confusing, but between the girls and me, we got everything set quickly. The flight to Athens was 30 minutes long. In Athens, we found a nice corner in a cafe until Rob arrived. Check-in, time in the Sky Lounge, then a…
Greece Trip: Day 10
As usual, I did not sleep well the night before an early flight. The wake up call came at 4:45, but I had been up for a while by then. We finished packing up and headed downstairs for our 5:15 ride to the airport. I was surprised at how crowded the airport was; ours was…

Up a little earlier. Breakfast, buses to Akrotiri. A stroll round the archaeological site and then a hike over the mountain to Red Beach. A bus trip back to Thira with a literal pit stop in Pyrgos. Dinner in Thira as the sun went down, then a missed bus. Souvenirs, taxi, arrangements and bed.
Greece Trip: Day 9
We got going a little bit earlier today than yesterday in order to catch an earlier bus to Thira. After another nice breakfast, we walked down to the Kamari bus stop and waited for the bus. In Thira, we switched to the bus to Akrotiri. Though worried the bus would drop us in town, after…

Greece Trip: Day 8
Last night, we decided today would be a “slow” day. Even so, I couldn’t sleep past 7:30. While I worked on my trip photos and summaries, I let the girls sleep until almost 9. Once they were up and ready, we went down to breakfast. A large buffet of cheese, eggs, pastries, fruit, yogurt and…

Alarm for 5am. Girls and I got up and finished packing, then went down for a small breakfast just before 6am. Taxi to the ferry. Staked out a great table in the lounge. Read, slept, relaxed. Ordered coffee and croissants for a second breakfast 5 hours after our first. Ferry stops in Paros, Naxos and…
