photo friday: st george island
The last night of our Gulf Coast Spring Break camping trip we spent camping at St. George Island State Park. We had heard great things about the barrier islands along the Florida panhandle, and I had hoped to spend more than one night there, but I worked on our plans a bit too late. Maybe next spring break!
As we approached the island, we missed the turn to head into town first and found ourselves on the long bridge out to the island. Instead of turning around to find “cheaper” food, we followed the main street all the way out to the state park. It was too early to claim our camping spot, so we spend a few hours enjoying the lovely beach before heading back to the center of the island where we found a small grocery store that offered all we wanted and more. When we got back to the state park and our camping spot, the rain had started, so we spent a bit of time relaxing in Evie eating the fun food we had just bought. In the evening, we took a little bike ride over to the beach to watch the sunset.
The next morning, we spent a little time at the beach, then packed up and headed home. We can’t wait to go back again sometime soon!
This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday.
