Thursday Tip: The Little Extras
Tips Article
What are the little things that you bring on every trip that make a big difference?
As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, I bring a handful of zip-top bags on every trip. Some other things I like to pack include:
- Canvas bags – Along with using reusable bags for groceries, an extra bag has many, many uses.
- Dish towel – can be used to dry dishes, mop up spills, dry off wet benches and more.
- Plastic utensils – We’ve had to eat messy food with our fingers one too many times!
- Cups and plates – I generally only take these if we are traveling by car. Since we often “eat in”, plates come in quite useful.
- Lightweight wrap – this can be used as a towel, a blanket, a beach blanket, swimsuit coverup, and more!
- Deck of playing cards
These are things my mom tends to bring, but I haven’t started yet. Maybe I will soon.
- Clothes pins and a line – who doesn’t have wet stuff to hang up while on a trip?
- Dish soap and a flat sponge
What are your trip essentials?
