DC Weekend
The girls and I are home again from DC. We are unpacked and just about caught up on most things, though I do have a large to-do list for work waiting for me to tackle it.
Helping Rob move to DC was a bit surreal. It felt like helping a kid go off to college. Linens, supplies, food to be bought. Phone service to be established. New neighborhood to be explored. He’ll be home on Friday, and I’m sure we’ll all be happy to be in the same house again.
Yesterday we took metro over to Union Station to see “The Clone Wars”. The theater there was more interesting than the movie. Very strange architecture. No one there to take our tickets. But I had a nice time getting out and walking in the city a bit. I wish Chloe enjoyed the walking more. It isn’t as much fun to do when we have to listen to her complain so much.
But now I’m tired after a 10+ hour drive and all the frenzy that revolves around getting back home and settled in again.

I bet it was sort of surreal. But what I want to know is how you made the trip in only 10 hours. Or maybe the question should be what am I doing wrong that it always takes me 12 to drive to DC.
Well, I said 10+, not 10 ๐ And this trip, we hit no traffic until 285, and I know the back way from there!. We made only two quick stops. Gas and Moe’s (thanks, iPhone).
